Pinacoteca di Brera
It houses several masterpieces of the Italian and international history of art.
Established in 1809, the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan was born as a space in which paintings from the territories conquered during Napoleonic rule were to be exhibited. Today its collection includes masterpieces that retrace the history of Italian and international art. Hayez, Tintoretto, Piero della Francesca, Raphael and Mantegna are just some of the artists who occupy a prominent place in the collection.

Visitors to the Art Gallery can witness first-hand the restorations being carried out on the works by experts from the Brera Workshop. All this is made possible by the transparent structure designed in 2001 by Ettore Sottsass and set up in room XVIII.
